Come visit the H. L. Hunley during weekend tours! In 1864, the
Hunley became the first submarine to sink an enemy warship. Before the Hunley could return home, she
disappeared with her eight-man crew off Sullivan's Island, S.C. In August 2000, the submarine was recovered
off the ocean floor and brought to the Warren Lasch Conservation Center to be excavated and conserved for
future generations. Tours are available every Saturday from 10 AM - 5PM and Sunday 12 PM - 5PM. For tour
times, tickets, and directions, please call 1.877.4HUNLEY (1.877.448.6539) |
