On the third Saturday in September, as we have for many years, we will bring Boone Hall Plantation, just across the Cooper River from Charleston, to life with the sights and sounds of the Scottish Games and Highland Gathering. Over the years, we have added a variety of things to better the experience and the enjoyment, including bleacher style seating for the viewing of the heavy athletics, the border collie demonstrations, the 20 plus piping bands, the mass bands, and the many other activities on the field. We do it for charity, for the Scottish Society of Charleston, Inc., and for the many people and Scottish friends who seek to gather their clans and to enjoy the full day of wonderment. Each year, we strive to bring more and better Scottish and Celtic entertainment in the form of musicians and dancers to enrich the experience and we think that we have succeeded.
The enjoyment includes the grounds and house of Boone Hall Plantation, without further cost, for those who want to view and experience this wonderful and historic place. So, plan to join us on the third Saturday in September from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
