Boone Hall Plantation
Mt. Pleasant, SC
September 1, 2013
(843) 884-4371 ext. 221
Just the mention of barbeque and bluegrass makes the mouth water and the toes start tapping. Professional barbecue teams will travel to Boone Hall Plantation to compete in a cook-off sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society and the chance to win cash and prizes. Locals and amateurs are invited to show-off their talents in a barbecue cook-off, as well as a tailgating competition for the best sports team support. Free samples of the different types of barbecue cooked for the competition will be available in limited quantities. Full plates will be available for purchase by a variety of vendors.

This event will be an event for all ages. The highlights, of course, will be the barbecue and nationally recognized bluegrass acts.

But there will also be a mechanical bull riding contest with a chance to win a large flat screen HDTV, a celebrity dunking booth, jump castles for the kids, a huge fireworks show in the evening, and much more.

Gates open at 10:30am and the event will run until 8:30pm.
