Charleston SC Hotels
Hotel accommodations in Charleston are generally broken down into the following areas: 1) The Downtown Area Hotels located near or within the
Charleston Historic District, 2) Beach Hotels, such as Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Isle, Kiawah Island and Folly Beach or 3) Surrounding Area Hotels:
North Charleston (near the collisium or airport), West Ashley or Mt. Pleasant area. These motels range from quaint and comfortable to
lodgings where the client is truly awash in amenities. You will generally pay a bit more for lodging in the Downtown Historic District (as you would expect),
however, many visitors to Charleston stay in other areas of the city and drive to the Historic District, which normally is about a 15 minute trip.
Those that choose this route also have the benefit of free parking, something which is hard to find in the Downtown Historic District. Refer to the Area Map Below.
