Conde' Nast Traveler "Readers Choice Poll"

For the 8th consecutive year Charleston has been named one of the"Top Ten" destinations in the United States in the 2000 Conde' Nast Traveler "Readers Choice Poll". The well-traveled readers of Conde' Nast kept Charleston ranked at #3, following only long-time favorites San Francisco and New Orleans!

According to Travel Holiday magazine, Charleston is one of the "Top Five" romantic destinations in America.

Southern Living echoes this sentiment in their 2000 Readers' Choice Poll, naming Charleston the favorite "romantic" destination and 2nd most popular "historic" destination! And, for the 2nd consecutive year Family Fun magazine has named Charleston the 2nd most popular city in the southeast for family vacations.

Spoleto Festival USA: The festival has also received the Southeast Tourism Society's 2000 award for the top 20 events.
